PSA offers independent Quality Assurance to our clients along with all railway development services, and strictly adheres to standards and guidelines established by Cenelec, IEEE, GCOR, FRA, etc. Our QA can be easily incorporated into the developments process for any project, depending on your specific needs.

The systems tested by PSA are currently in use across the globe, including High-Speed networks in France, Italy, Spain, UK, Belgium, China, and South Korea; Main Lines in the US, France, Sweden, India, China, Bangladesh, Botswana, Malaysia, and Australia; and also metro. PSA verifies the finished product, both in the office and on location, before commissioning.

Lots of wayside controllers come to us from the previous century and still have no automated troubleshooting system. We have also successfully delivered testing of various modern controlling systems used in enterprises all over the globe. Especially for such cases, we can perform V&V of devices controlling the safety of train movement, with full adherence to the strict practices and guidelines within the rail industry.
Back Office QA
The QA specialists at PSA have been involved in several verification and validation projects for dispatch systems on US class 1 railroads, US commuter transport, and South American cargo railroads. User management, track occupancy authorities, speed restrictions, vehicle tracking, alarms, train sheets, and timetable creation assistant are just a few examples of software that our team has tested.
We started in the rail industry back when old-school ticker monitors were widespread, and have advanced to modern IoT technologies. Whether you are developing classic platform devices or modern push notification systems built into mobile apps, we can perform all QA tests required to ensure a stress-free, easy experience for every passenger. We verify communication protocols, both wired and wireless, and create automated testing for a variety of operating systems.
We follow the philosophy of «better to be safe than sorry», which sums up the standard of Cenelec 50129. PSA confirms safety in SIL4 devices for cab teams or the driverless train governing software applications. We are prepared to implement full V&V activities with documented procedures and results that can be included in safety cases for audits.
Computer-Aided Design (CAD) brings you high-quality design, detailed info about materials, dimensions and tolerances, authenticity, and productivity.
At PSA, our CAD engineers:
- possess a specialized degree,
- have at least 5 years of experience in the railway industry,
- use 2D and 3D models for design,
- work in tandem with our signaling engineers,
- check each other at different stages of project execution,
- deliver railway development services for global сustomers.
We primarily use Bentley Microstation, which also identifies and repairs critical design issues in early project phases. The CAD team also works with AutoCAD, CIVIL 3D, and Revit.
We employ professional developers and signaling engineers with a Rail college degree, who are experts in complex areas of railway transport, including centralization and blocking alarm devices. Our focus is on computer programming designed for railway centralization within the United States. This allows PSA to make prompt competent technical decisions for our customers.
We comply with international standards:
- Rules and instructions of the American Railway Engineering and Maintenance of Way Association (AREMA),
- Rules and instructions of the Northeast Operating Rules Advisory Committee (NORAC),
- Rules and regulations governing railroad signal and train control systems of the Department of Transportation of Federal Railroad Administration (FRA).
