Radio Frequency Design Engineer

Overview

The job of a Radio Frequency Design Engineer involves designing radio frequency systems that ensure the efficient and safe operation of U.S. railway systems.

Responsibilities

  • Designing radio frequency systems. Developing network architecture and equipment placement schemes (base stations, antennas, transmitters);
  • Assisting in the selection of equipment and materials to create robust radio networks;
  • Conducting engineering calculations to determine coverage areas and capacity;
  • Modeling coverage areas and studying potential interferences.

Requirements

  • Higher technical education in radio engineering, telecommunications, or communications;
  • At least 5 years of experience in designing radio communication systems;
  • Knowledge of radio communication standards and technologies (LTE, GSM, DMR, TETRA, etc.);
  • Proficiency in specialized software for modeling and designing radio networks;
  • English level B1 and above (if lower, willingness and desire to learn English).
